Re-accreditation
The intern year must enable interns to acquire a broad range of knowledge and skills through the achievement of explicit learning objectives to ensure they meet the Australian Medical Council (AMC) requirements for general registration. The intern accreditation process aims to ensure the provision of intern training programs that support the ongoing development of medical interns and ensure intern and patient safety.
Re-accreditation of intern training programs occurs in the year prior to the expiry of the current accreditation period. The timing of the site visit is determined in consultation between PMAQ and the relevant provider.
For Full Accreditation Assessments please contact PMAQ for submission documents.
