Re-accreditation

Re-accreditation

The internship year must enable interns to acquire a broad range of knowledge and skills through the achievement of explicit learning objectives to ensure they meet the Australian Medical Council (AMC) requirements for general registration. For prevocational doctors the accreditation process aims to ensure the provision of prevocational training programs that support the ongoing development of these doctors and ensure prevocational doctor and patient safety.

Re-accreditation of prevocational training programs occurs in the year prior to the expiry of the current accreditation period. The timing of the site visit is determined in consultation between PMAQ and the relevant facility and will usually occur between May and September each year.

For Full Reaccreditation Reviews please contact PMAQ for submission documents.
