Re-accreditation

Re-accreditation

The PGY1 year must enable PGY1 doctors to acquire a broad range of knowledge and skills through the achievement of explicit learning objectives to ensure they meet the Australian Medical Council (AMC) requirements for general registration. The PGY1 accreditation process aims to ensure the provision of prevocational training programs that support the ongoing development of PGY1 doctors and ensure PGY1 doctor and patient safety.

Re-accreditation of prevocational training programs occurs in the year prior to the expiry of the current accreditation period. The timing of the site visit is determined in consultation between PMAQ and the relevant provider.

For Full Accreditation Assessments please contact PMAQ for submission documents.
